National Cadet Corps (NCC)

Introduction to NCC

The National Cadet Corps, the youth wing of the Indian Armed Forces, is a prestigious Tri-Services Organization comprising the Army, Navy, and Air Wing. Headquartered in New Delhi, NCC is dedicated to grooming young Indians into disciplined and patriotic citizens through a comprehensive training regimen.


Training and Development

Participants in the NCC, known as cadets, undergo a rigorous training program that mirrors military training. This includes

  • Drill and Discipline - Cadets learn precision and teamwork through military drills.

  • Physical Fitness - A strong emphasis is placed on maintaining physical stamina and resilience.

  • Skills Training - Cadets are trained in map reading, first aid, and shooting, enhancing their survival skills and readiness.

  • Specialized Activities - Depending on their division, cadets may also engage in gliding or flying, boat pulling, and sailing.

Adventure Activities

The NCC also offers cadets the chance to participate in a variety of adventure sports and activities which serve to strengthen their leadership skills and character

Parasailing, sailing, scuba diving, and kayaking offer cadets experiences that develop courage and calm under pressure.



Desert and Jungle Expeditions

Activities like camel safaris immerse cadets in different environments, broadening their horizons and fostering adaptability.
